More poems about Home.

SETTLING IN
It has not taken too long to sort out the mess,
Now we are getting older we must confess
That it did take a lot longer than years ago,
But the home looks fine wherever we go.

The kitchen is bright and big room to eat,
A table for two that is quite a pleasant treat,
Every thing put away, hoping we remember
Where the stuff is put and cooking not hinder.

The diningroom is quite elegant, neat right now,
With a bunch of flowers that looks good some how,
Pictures on the wall painted by the Margetson family,
Knick-knacks everywhere for all now to easily see.

The living room is big and bright facing due east,
Every morning through the window we have a feast
Of beauty with sunshine glowing around everywhere
And the sound of the seagulls and loons in the air.

Our bedroom’s sorted out the other three still need work,
But we promise that our duties we will never shirk
Until everywhere is just right, yet it feels like home
And we are already glad to see it when we do roam.
