ORGANIZED
Everything looks chaotic but we are quite organized,
If you saw our place you really would be surprised,
Bare walls and empty cupboards, boxes everywhere,
There is a state of confusion in the summer air.
Yes, we are moving, going to live quite far away,
And before we go there is still a week and one day,
But you look for something and one of you us you see
Has put it in a packing box to move safe as it can be.
I will not bake another cake my big mixing bowl sits
In a box marked Kitchen stuff along with cans and bits
Of this and that to fill the box up as full as can be,
I hope we dont want salmon sandwiches for our tea.
Clean now are two kitchen towels, two dish clothes too,
If we need extras I am not quite sure what we will do,
From one box there comes a sound a plaintive little call
One on the cats was missing, she was sitting in the hall.
If you like you can come and help us pack everything away,
I hope a week on Tuesday we will be able to gladly say
Everything is packed and nothing is left anywhere around.
Then panic because the car keys cannot anywhere be found.
