THE TRUTH IN UPPER CANADA
Joseph our beloved prophet dear came the truth to preach
To those in Upper Canada and with the spirit did teach.
Spreading forth the gospel in this glorious precious land,
Enlightening the hearts of all those ready to understand.
No purse or scrip he carried just a message of truth and light,
Kept going and struggled on, with love, fought the good fight,
A sign of a prophet of God to set a world on the right way,
Oh yes, He came to Upper Canada where the truth did stay.
Righteous men and women left a great life of ease behind,
Followed the call of the prophet much hardship to find,
Valiant saints who took up the cause, leaders they became,
From the moment they heard Joseph they never were the same.
Thank you dear prophet Joseph for fulfilling this great call,
Now many saints across this land will obey whatever may befall,
Listen to a prophets voice they too spread the truth and light.
So thank you again Joseph for being a beacon to clear and bright.
