More poems about Weather

        IN NEED OF RAIN
The tomato plants are wilting in the heat,
The birds in the trees can hardly tweet,
Most flowers are dying, we need some rain,
Even if in the summer it can cause us pain.

It seems ages since we had a rain shower,
Now it’s a deluge we need this very hour,
Everyone is baking in the relentless humidity,
To go out side would be classed as stupidity.

Often the clouds form and then they roll away
Without sending the sweet rain for many a day,
It’s over forty degrees with all the humidity,
A rain fall may clear the air to some degree.

The grass is turning yellow and yuk in the sun,
Instead of pretty green where we can have fun.
All the playing fields are becoming clouds of dust,
Please let some rain fall before it becomes a must.

We’re in dust bowl of humid heat, only indoors is cool,
The malls and stores are fine, and those who have a pool,
But some of us suffer with the heat, no air conditioner,
Day is not too bad but at night there seems to be no cure.

So rain come in torrents wash the humidity and heat away,
Please come soon, maybe before the end of this hot day,
Relieve those of us who find it hard to take a good breath,
Come on, pour down hard and save sweet nature from death.
