CARPETS AND BEDSPREADS
Driving in the north there was extra beauty everywhere,
Gifts of precious carpets and bedspreads made with care,
Multi coloured meadows and road boarders of flowers
That cheered up the long journey that lasts many hours.
Imagine yellow and purple vetch with pink willowherb,
Large of white daisies and different clover down to the curb,
The fragrance and the beauty made the day seem extra bright,
Nowhere could you see a more lovely, picturesque sight.
A think piled carpet came alive with the silver seeded grass,
With the window down it seemed to beacon me as we did pass,
No livingroom I have ever seen had a carpet as lovely as this,
As for a bedspread like it many meals I would willingly miss.
One hedgerow made us slow down and longing, lovingly gaze
As a few lupins were still growing among others, just a blaze
Of colours that danced in the early morning sun and breeze,
I will surely remember this sight when I sit in winter and freeze.
A mass of natures colours all blended in beauty as one whole,
A sight all should see so to heal and enlighten the human soul,
Pink, yellow, purple, white, red, many greens and a silver kiss,
A carpet and bedspread for any home would brings natures bliss.
