PASSING OF A PET
There is a sadness around when a dear pet
passes away,
Especially one that left a new brood of chicks
the other day,
Silkies are so pretty they came always fill
a tender heart,
But she left you a legacy, a gift from her
when she did part,
Spread some extra chicken feed, shake
lots all round,
So that the food they seek can by them
be easily found.
A couple of feather dusters that could
feel like mother
As if they snuggled under her wings each little
sister and brother.
Plenty of clean water to drink and
some loving care,
And soon lots of lovely silkies will be clucking
every where.
Do not mourn at the wake neath a
sweet rose tree,
Remember the happiness she gave,
of sorrow be free.
Raise her children that she so willingly
gave to you,
And you will have happy memories
all life through.
