FIXING UP THE HOUSE
We need a new tub and the tiles to be replaced,
It would be nice to have one completely encased,
Decorating all down stairs, the kitchen as well,
The main objective our dear sweet home to sell,
All the bedrooms were painted recently I know,
The outside we shingled and we all love it so,
New doors and windows that look spick and span,
Just down stairs painting and we’ve done all we can.
Then we’ll work on the garden fill it full of flowers,
Some in the sun others under the tall leafy bowers
Of trees that grow, everywhere will look really fine
And even more I’ll love this sweet home of mine.
The place we live is perfect, just a walk to the lake,
Easy to get down to Toronto the GO train we can take,
Not far from stores and the neighbours are so kind,
A better place to live would indeed be hard to find.
But deep down inside we know it’s the things to do,
Although there are good reasons to stay, not a few,
Each one pulls us to staying but north we need stay
But this place we live will be home I can truly say.
