THE RIGHT PICTURE
We needed the right picture for this years
Christmas book,
Although it is only May we needed to have
a really good look,
Last years cover on the Christmas poems was
loved by all,
A simple European robin and some mistletoe
in snow fall.
Yesterday we started hunting to see what picture
we could find,
Looking through books and magazines, cards of
every kind
Hoping the right front for the poetry book would
meet our gaze.
Then in last years cards one from England
received some praise.
Another robin with his bright eye looking at us
in a special way,
Use me for the Christmas poem cover he
seemed to say.
A happy Christmas comes from the robin red-breast
as he is known,
And we hope you enjoyed the poems as through
the book you did roam.
