SENIOR MOMENTS
There are certain moments when we go brain dead,
Things just talked about leap right out of our head,
If you are older ‘senior moments’ saying is often used,
What happens when the much younger get confused?
‘My lights have gone out’ I heard one teenager say,
Or ‘my brain flushed down the drain early today,
Whatever expression we use it’s all means the same,
Something has blown a fuse in the person’s brain.
It’s usually a little later when the lights come back on
Or the struggle to remember has at last been won,
But it seems to be happening too many times each day.
And for my closing line, I forgot what I was going to say!
