More poems about Christmas.

THINKING AHEAD
It’s hard to think Christmas, when May flowers are here,
But when one is a poet and a new book of Christmas cheer
Is needed to be ready for October, still more months away,
So I just close my eyes and think of cold ideas all the day.

Lines about snowy streets and Christmas lights so bright,
Christmas shoppers rushing to each store such a pretty sight.
Hoarfrost on the trees when they are newly clothed in green,
Is a picture I need to now create so this vision may be seen.

Thinking of a rich turkey dinner when there’s salad on my plate,
And Christmas pudding steam hot when out side is twenty eight
Degrees and rising is quite hard I am sure you can easily see,
For me to think of Christmas cold although as pretty as can be.

I don’t know if this poem will make it in this years poetry book
It maybe a little too late, please read it through and take a look
For a poem thinking about Christmas on a glorious spring day,
And try and realize some of the problems that come a writers way.
