        ECHOING IN THE PORTALS
Echoing in the portals of my mind I oft see the past,
Remember lessons learned, forgotten, yet memories last,
I smile to myself at times, then scowl and frown in turn
And some changes I’d make that I now regretfully yearn.

In those echoing portals I see triumphant, joyous days,
Those precious moments are good things to often gaze,
When love burns bright in the deep alcoves of my heart,
And when sweet words of wisdom we willingly impart.

Wash away and sweep out the bad cobwebs of the mind,
Leave only wholesome thought provoking memories behind
So these echoing portals will resound with sweet happiness
And guide the future well as ever heavenward we press.
