More poems about Trials

WHY SONNET 101
Why is there turbulence in my mind,
So tempest tossed by winds so very strong?
The feeling that nothing else could go wrong
When a thousand more trials I seem to find.
Why does the world to me seem so unkind
And my heart starts to sting a doleful song,
A liturgy tell to some mighty throng
Who turn deaf ears, seeing eyes that are blind.
I stop my self-pity, have I not signed
My own death warrant? I now need to long
For brighter thoughts as I travel along,
Then on peaceful ideas I will have dined,
I will cast aside all my mournful days
And walk with joy along peaceful ways.
