CYPRUSS ABLUTIONS
Now Cyprus is our female Siamese plump cat,
I would not dare to even think of her as fat!
The other day she lay on her back, legs all free
Having a big stretch and roll, happy as can be.
As she lay on her back she washed her face and ears,
She looked so cute and did them well also her front feet
And she came to no harm as she accomplished this feat.
Then her eyes noticed her far off back legs just there,
I think she thought they would hang in the warm air.
She grabbed one with her front paws gave a lick or two
And twang she lost her grip before the wash was through.
Now a Siamese cat gets offended when you laugh out loud,
But when this kept on happening those laughs did us proud.
I wish the camera had been handy for all to see the sight
Of a plump cat trying keep hold on back legs quite tight,
But because of the expanse of cat between her front and back
A stretch long enough obviously she did truly lack.
Then she tried to wash her tail and the end she seemed to bite,
For the size of our cat she was very quickly out of sight.
