        RED HAT ON A REINDEER
Driving through Port Credit a funny thing I saw,
A sight I found that I could not easily ignore,
A cleverly hand carved very large cute reindeer,
I had to look twice as the car drew ever near.

It was wearing there a rather nice purple dress,
Not a style for a reindeer I really must confess,
Between the antlers and those bright eyes sat,
You’ll never believe me, a large bright red HAT.

We couldn’t stop to get out the traffic was moving by,
Impossible to turn round I gave a long rather sad sigh,
Had I seen an animal member of the red hat society?
A thing I had not heard of, I was as curious as could be.

I need to drive through Port Credit and look once more
To see if I was dreaming or sitting outside a little store
Was a large reindeer in a purple dress a red hat on it’s head
Talk to the owner while in purple wearing a hat that is red.
