        WAITING FOR BLOOD TESTS
This morning quite early to the doctors office we went,
Once a month to check me, then how many pills sent
Into my system to stop my blood from clogging all up,
And if a little more tasty food I could possibly sup.

The room was quite full, most looked sleepy and blue,
But the two of us giggled at very dumb bunny clue
In the crossword puzzle, crazy they think we must be,
That on a dull morning we were full of fun and frivolity.

Some smiled and nodded others glared as though to kill,
That made things worse as the time we did soon fill
By chatting to someone who sat down by our side,
She joined in the fun, her laughter could not hide.

If you have to waste good time as this day we had to do,
Why be miserable, why not let some laughter come through?
The poor overworked technician looked so down as well,
She needed to be cheered up that I could easily about her tell.

I made her smile then she laughed out loud she felt better,
We should all avoid the misery that some heart can fetter,
Make the most of every situation whether great or small
And people may feel better if you smile and give a happy call.
