\        A VERY BAD DAY
Have you had days when nothing goes at all right,
And if it had been a bad hair day you’d look a sight,
You have to get up early and the toilet does not flush,
You then fall over the sleeping dog in your great rush,
Bump your head on the counter, now you feel a mess,
You feel like going right back to bed you must confess.
No times for a bite to eat, you miss the early bus by a yard,
It splashes you with a puddle to stay in control is quite hard.
All this and it is not yet 6am, think of the rest of the day,
But duty calls and however you look you must go on your way.
The boss greets you, “There’s an important meeting to attend”
With a bump on the head and splashed with mud you pretend
You have not noticed and think your head does not ache,
Yet there are many decisions this day you just have to make.

Then a cozy feeling comes over you, it was all an awful dream,
No work to rush to, no stained suit, you need not give a scream,
No bump on the head, all is well, for you have are retired at last,
You can get up when you like and through the day have a blast.
