DAYDREAMING
Is it wrong to daydream, cast your mind away
To some far off place for a few moments each day?
Be master of some sailing ship on a storm tossed sea,
Feel the wind on your face and your hair blowing free.
Wander down a shady lane with blossoms everywhere,
Dream this when there is ice and snow in the cold air.
I love to daydream and many things come into my mind,
Many lovely secrets places in my daydreams I always find,
I can hear the laughter of children as they play along the bay
On sands clean and almost white, wish a little too long to stay.
Or walk in a forest deep and green, make friends in there
With the mighty moose, wolf and even the big black bear.
Daydreaming of loved ones who have left and gone ahead,
Remember holding hands as my mom lay dying in her bed,
Remember childhood days when the summer sun was warm
And there was a feeling of peace especially after a great storm.
See your own children growing all over again smiling with joy
At the antics they did as they grew to adults from girls and boy.
Daydreaming can heal, can help imagination flow wild and free,
I must admit that some daydreaming is a very great part of me,
It helps me live my life to the full, appreciate the things truly fair,
Find places Ive only heard of and daydream my way out there.
So spend a little time daydreaming just a short moment each day,
And a brand new life will open up and cheer you on your way.
