TOO RELAXED
Ill pick my note book and a pencil or a pen,
Gaze at the blank paper and begin to wonder when
An idea will flow from my, right now, stagnant brain.
I just hope that inspiration will return to me again.
Here up north for just a few days all is quite peaceful and still,
I thought that poems would run free and maybe they will,
But just at the moment my mind is on cruise control
And so any ideas and thoughts out of me cannot roll.
The pace of life is slower, relaxed as can be,
Traffic yes, but much quieter, just peace and serenity.
Maybe my active mind had taken a holiday as well,
I hope not for long, for in the country I prefer to dwell.
But if this reduces my output, my issue drop low
I wonder if that is where to live we should really go,
I am sure that when my mind adjusts to quiet ways
I will be able to write without too many delays.
