WAVING AT MY SHADOW
The long rays of the morning sun cast shadows everywhere,
And as we travelled north we saw something unusual there.
Reflected on the centre median we could see ourselves quite plain,
Me being rather silly waved, others must have thought me insane.

Then another car overtook us and he waves as well,
Whether at us or his own clear reflection was hard to tell.
When on a long journey it is surprising what you will do
To help keep you focussed the whole journey through.

For quite a while we could wave and the shadow waved right back,
Of much hilarity, laughter and giggles our journey did not lack,
So go north early when the sun first shows her bright face,
Wave at yourselves a time or two always going at a fast pace.
