FEELING REBELLIOUS
Have you ever felt rebellious and want
to do something silly?
Wear a red hat and purple dress with
something rather filly,
Nothing bad or wicked to set me
going off astray,
But something a little rebellious to
brighten up my day.
Eat a sticky bun whilst walking
down the street
And hope to meet someone important
and them greet
Offer to shake their hand and see the
look on their face,
Hoping they may think you right then
an utter disgrace.
If I were a man I’d wear one of those
deerstalker hats,
Go around with a magnifying glass
seeking fleas on cats,
Just right now I’d like to go and
swim in the lake,
But there are still chunks of ice there
for goodness sake.
Go to the mall in my Sunday best and
carrying a bouquet,
And look into my husband’s eye in that
special kind of way.
I don’t really mind what I do as long
as I have fun,
And cause a smile, laugh or a giggle
before the day is done.
