More poems about Spring.

ATTENTION TO SPRING
I seem to have written many poems
about spring this year,
It must have been the longing that
can often appear
When the winter has been long and
harsh and cold,
So wanting the spring to come by many
is good to behold.
So much snow in the back yard will
it be green again?
We think we may never recover from
winter’s great pain.
But now, come and seen the snow has
gone, green is seen,
It is almost as though cold winter has never
really been.
Many poems of longing I wrote begging
spring to come our way,
Well with the warmth of the sun I think
she’s here to stay.
If snow returns and changes our green
garden white once more
I may throw a temper tantrum, kick and
scream on the floor.
So stay, sweet, gentle, welcome spring let us feel
your kind embrace,
For those who stayed here in the cold need colour
on each face.
