More poems about Temptation.

        OVERCOMING TEMPTATION
Satan really wants us to give in to pride and passion,
Live our lives in a frenzied type of loose fashion,
Morals he whispers to us are really not the style
Of today’s living come and relax and give in awhile.

Get thee behind me Satan we can all say loud and clear,
Turn him away into darkness and so be free from fear,
Cast aside his offers, they sound fun but will lead astray
All those who wish to follow the master along life’s way.

You need not do a good deed today, tomorrow will do,
But go ahead and ignore it, see the kind action through.
For procrastination is his greatest and most sly tool,
He may say, doing those good deeds makes you look a fool.

Eat, drink and be merry you can go to the temple again,
You deserve a break, and rest now for you are in pain.
Turn him away, go and do what is right every single day,
Pray for the strength that you can always send Satan away.

Let him be bound toward you, let him know he can’t win,
Always have the strength to turn away from acts of sin.
The Savour is there to help us and the Holy Ghost too,
With friends like that you know that you can win through.
