More poems about the Temple.

WAITING
There is a feeling of excitement within the temple walls,
Knowing they are waiting, wandering the sacred halls,
Waiting now patiently, for their names are right there,
Ready for there endowment, the answer to each prayer.

Yet who comes in to serve, so the names can be done?
For that long uphill battle is fought and bravely won,
But another session cancelled, many spirits are sad,
They thought their wait was over, now no longer glad.

They wait hoping someone will come in quite soon,
Come feel the longing, wanting this heavenly boon
So they may pass the angels that guard heaven’s door,
Would we leave them hungry if they were very poor?

Most of us would feed them, give at least a loaf of bread,
But will we stop the progression of those who we call dead?
Come and feel their longing, take or bring your own name,
Be the one willing to relieve another’s suffering and pain.

Many wait to progress but cannot do it on their own,
I hope they find comfort as through these halls they roam,
Lend a helping hand as more for yourself you can learn,
Come and be a proxy and for more knowledge yearn.
