COMPLACENCY
Complacency is the tool used by Satans crafty ways,
To the good and honest in heart, this fault displays
As not being bad but makes sense and you analyse
All you have done, so youve made the prize.
I pay tithing and go to church, try to be good and kind,
Pray often, do good deeds, have the Master on my mind,
So all is well in Zion, for no evil can sneak secretly in
To mar my path to heaven for I recognize nearly every sin.
Complacency is in my heart, I should turn it away
Or I will fall short of heaven, glory not come my way,
For being complacent is standing still not progressing at all,
Satan is winning I would be listening to his evil quiet call.
Never be complacent serve and strive all your life through,
Dont let Satan come and take that great prize from you.
To lean on ones laurels of accomplishments well done,
Will cause us to falter and the final battle lost not won.
Smile and be busy, help Zion blossom, flourish and grow,
Serve until you are called home, then the Lord will know
You are His dear child ready for your home upon high,
So fight off complacency until the moment that you die.
