        EVERY TIMES IT SNOWS
Every time it snows hard it should be Christmas,
Some compensation for it should come to pass,
Just a small gift and a special meal come our way,
Yes, every time it snows it should be Christmas day.

Christmas music heard on the radio, bells in the air,
Lights twinkling in whitened gardens everywhere,
Malls alive with shoppers, good sales in every store,
Something to look forward to, nice things galore.

April snow is daunting but not if Christmas is there,
We’ll have turkey for dinner, sweet smells in the air,
A fire roaring in the hearth, a gift by each full plate,
Then we would not mind snow so much at this late date.

Let’s make a new ruling of Christmas when it snows,
The first sign of white flakes and a covering shows,
Put on the Christmas carols, cook a meal that’s good,
Light a cosy fire, make a gift sewn or made of wood.

Then who would mind the snow coming early or late
If true Christmas feelings and actions were our fate,
So until spring and summer peep over your windowsill
Keep on having Christmas until you’ve have had your fill.
