I HAVE TO GO
Although I feel like writing I have to cook a meal,
Sometimes having inspiration and sweet word appeal
Is quite hard to curb when living gets in the way,
And you have to put on hold thoughts for another day.
Meat, potatoes and carrots and nice gravy made right
Have to be cooked to fill us with strength to fight
Off infection and keep mind and body on the go,
But Id love to just set and write while thoughts flow.
I see a castle white, gleaming and sparkling in the sun,
There is a story there that needs to escape and have fun.
A sailing ship fighting a storm in force ten gales strong,
Will they pull through or will everything go all wrong?
These poems I will save for another day as I go
Reluctantly to prepare a meal, Ill hurry though,
And maybe there will be time to write a tale or two
Before another busy day have ended and all through.
