DON’T LET THEM PASS
I was feeling a little down, when a friend called to say hello,
She thought of me and just phoned, her voice cheered me so,
I thanked her for caring enough to make a long distant call,
We chatted for quite awhile and she did not mind at all,
I had a similar feeling and so called, a weary voice said, Hi,
Once we started chatting her spirit seemed to soar very high,
She told me she was feeling sad, needed a shoulder to cry on,
It was good to chat and cheer a friend a little battle won.
If you get that feeling to visit and just give a quick call
Do not put it off, on a sad heart the message may fall,
Make the difference to someone who needed you today,
Don’t let these opportunities pass that will come your way.
