GOOD TO BE BACK
It is good to be back at the temple to try and serve today,
Feel the love and companionship that flow in a special way,
The peace and the tranquillity that fills each heart with joy,
Where no feeling of sadness can the contentment deploy.
I peeped into the celestial room at the ethereal beauty there
And felt a breath of sweet healing waft me like a prayer,
Then I heard a voice sealing families together forever more,
I knew that for awhile to be here, my illness I could endure.
Nothing seems to matter within these sacred temple walls,
Even though the wind blows and the snow steadily falls,
The service that I render this day may be very small indeed,
But those gone before I may help to gently spiritually feed,
I have given them what was needed to enter heaven’s door,
Be there to knock to let them in and glorious heaven adore.
But for me just being here a few hours will help me heal,
As the precious closeness of Father and Jesus we can feel,
Weariness does not matter, for I can rest a little later on
When the days work at the temple is all finished and done.
