FEELING KIND OF FUNNY
I am feeling kind of funny in a peculiar sort of way,
My heart feels lazy and I feel I need to sleep all day,
My legs are just rubber bands, wont obey my will,
My brains seemed confused as though on a pill.
My body will not do as my active mind commands,
Although thinking straight is also quite out of hand,
I think of a thousand things that come to mind, but oh dear,
With this funny peculiar feeling nothing remains clear.
Sometimes I write a poem and nothing makes sense at all,
I read it and then realize I must be climbing up the wall.
Brian comes swiftly to the rescue to sort the puzzle out,
Even then we cannot tell and we change it all about.
So if my poetry seems odd or maybe go all funny and awry
Its because I feel weak and wan and my heart wants to sigh,
But I will press on regardless and overcome this funny turn
As more and more energy and some normality to me return.
