THREE YOUNG LADIES
Three young ladies that the were sketched
with glee,
All quite different to a greater or
lesser degree
One seems happy. one sullen, the other
is proud,
Where they all together or scattered in
a crowd,
I dont think theyd be called beauties
back then,
Classed as very handsome by the wife
seeking men.
Each have lovely hair and a kissable
pair of lips,
But strength and determination shows
like long slips
Beneath a pretty gown, that most males then
did frown,
They liked a submissive wife with pretty face
cast down,
Willing to be led along by a loving and
stronger hand,
And looking at these ladies for that they would
not stand.
One day they may marry and find a man that
may need
A woman with a strong personality help a
family feed.
