        EARLY SIGNS OF SPRING
You can see clusters of catkins wave in the cool breeze,
And the pussy willow her grey furry softness begin to show
You may hear the guggle of the stream as the ice starts to ease
As slowly you watch the ice sheets from the lake start to go.

The wind is much less cutting, we love to feel falling rain,
The warmth in the yellow sun tells us that she’s getting near,
Snowdrops and other small brave flowers seen once again,
Some of the migrating birds voices we at last begin to hear.

Come count the signs of spring and know nature has won,
The robin on the fence is really a picture of good cheer,
Not having to close the curtains until after supper is all done,
Come with me and look for spring signs that will soon be near,
