BRIG OF FEUGH BRANCHORY
One of grandads drawings really taught our eye,
We went to look up the place and we did sigh,
For it is in Aberdeen Scotland, so pretty to see
I wonder if this was just a postcard copy.
Today it is noted for a great salmon run,
Many must watch and marvel and have fun.
Look at the brickwork and the rock form
And the trees in the background shading dawn.
I hope that Grandad did visit this lovely place,
And gazed at its harsh, primitive kind of grace.
Watch the salmon leap to scale the waterfall,
I wonder how fast his mind worked to capture it all.
Well save up and find the Brig of Feugh at Branchory,
Meet the people and see the scene in all its glory.
I wonder how much it has changed from years ago,
Will it the same natural beauty still magnificently show.
