MY YOKE IS EASY, MY BURDEN LIGHT
Matt ch 11 vs 30
When we turn to the Master and with Him share our load
Like yoked oxen, it’s easy to work and travel the hard road,
The offer of sharing is open to all those who take heed,
Then of His caring and love together forever feed.
The next part of the promise that our burden is light,
Brought into my spiritual vision quite a different sight.
We know that a burden shared is much lighter to bear
That with Him yoked with us we can go well anywhere.
Now walking with Jesus yoked at your side every day,
Think of all the blessings that will flow ever your way,
Knowledge and wisdom, friendship, His pure light
To guide and lead you to choose always the right .
So when scripture declares that His burden is Light
To me all becomes clear, filled with understand bright,
That no darkness can cover a soul that is yoked with Him
And the light of the gospel all good men can always win.
