VANITY
I like the way she did my hair
it looks good on me,
I am so pretty with my hair so
specially wavy.
Should I wear this dress or one with
a long train?
Yet this one fits me well and a train
can be a pain.
Where will I be seated will I be close,
near his side?
Will I my admiration for him be able
to carefully hide?
Shall I wear grandma’s jewels? Will they show
off my eyes and hair,
Or will his eyes gaze on those jewels
with loving care.
I hope I turn many a head and get many
a admiring glance
But there is really only one person with
whom I want to dance.
