BATH-TIME
Getting the water ready in the nursery,
Now where can the young master be?
Oh dear, there are his clothes on the floor
And the little monkey opened the door.
Master Charles come have your bath now,
Youll get into trouble and Ill be in a row.
Then she heard the parlour maid scream and say
Young master has nothing on and went that way.
In the sitting large room voices could be heard,
A visitor was laughing, father saying its absurd
The poor nurse taps tentatively and is let right in,
There is young master just in his birthday skin.
The visitor was drawing and Charles just sat still,
Looking quite important and getting his thrill
Of admiration of those who sat coyly around
After a while he went to the bath without a sound,
