ALTHOUGH
Although I am quite sick, not well, I am not sad,
For there are many things around to make me glad,
I know that God still loves me and I have a family
And many friends close by all who truly love me.
Although the sky is dull and grey, rain coming down,
There is no need to be glum or wear a miserable frown,
Nature still shines in her beauty to cheer the heart,
Just look at all the creatures that to you joy can impart.
Although I am not rolling in money or wealthy in any way,
I am blessed with the riches of heaven that come every day,
No worldly wealth can compensate for true flowing love
That comes to sweet families who love their God above.
Although age is creeping up I still have a young active mind,
And a heart that seeks for His treasures and always find
Joy in love, joy in natures and still able to write my poetry,
And as long as I stay cheerful I know happy Ill always be.
