TWO OF ME
DOM Lesson 2 poem
In this, my mortal frame, there are two of me,
The natural side and the one full of spirituality,
My earthly existence is a test to prove each day
That the carnal self within me is sent far away.

I feel the need for a life that is abundantly full,
Filled with His spirit and not let carnality dull
The joy of choosing to follow the right path,
For if I succeed I’ll have that what Father hath.

I’ll control my natural self, let good shine through,
Show that spark of divinity, have His love in all I do,
For we are God’s children with a spirit that is divine,
So I pray that goodness and honesty will be ever mine.

Every moment that we live let us ever strive to be
Aiming always higher to have heaven for eternity,
To tame the natural being, overcome it’s evil ways
And I know I’ll live abundantly all of my days.
