Lesson #1 DOM Manual
If we wish to follow the dear Master,
The perfect way He has always shown,
The best way to avoid spiritual disaster
And God’s eternal glory one day own,
First, is to love God with your whole heart,
Mind, soul and strength and do our part
By putting first the precious things of God
As through this life we earnestly plod.
That will help us to be perfect in control,
No anger or hate to destroy the soul,
Belief in a Supreme Being gives true life,
And deep love is manifest through strife.
Next, if we believe our life is God’s gift,
We will not abuse ourselves but ever lift
To a higher plane, passions mastered well,
As a divine being in heaven we should dwell.
Then integrity will follow, honesty and sobriety,
Think of the rights of others in every degree,
Another thought, make our world a better place,
Then one day we may be able to gaze at His face.
