        MY CONTRIBUTION
What is my contribution to this our world so fair,
Am I really worthy enough to be even living there?
As I look around is the world better because of me,
Have I helped or hindered my progress for eternity?

I know I love dear nature and appreciate each gift
That is sent for us to enjoy, give us a special lift,
Cried at the beauty of a sunset for it touched me so,
Almost able to reach for heaven in it’s warm glow.

I have tried to be kind to my fellow men, shown love,
Asked for constant guidance from God in heaven above,
Tried to comfort those in pain, tried to meet another’s need,
In small ways the cold and hungry have tried my best to feed.

But If I have not stretched myself gone that extra mile,
Been slapped in the face but still give a happy smile,
Not ever counted the cost but served with all my might,
Is my contribution enough to gain sweet heaven bright?

When I think of God’s love, allowing His Son pure and divine
To suffer and die for a rebellious soul like your’s and mine,
My contribution seems paltry, am I doing all that I can do?
Please Lord give me the strength to serve all my life through.
