More poems about the Weather

THE COLD WIND
Do you hear the cold wind knocking at the door,
And that bitter north wind bring draught along the floor,
Even new windows rattle as the wind wants to come in,
It has even sent the heavy lid flying off the garbage bin.

Listen as it howls and screams, sends things everywhere,
To go out only if really needful, then take special care.
For the wind is cruel and thoughtless, as it ever blows,
Close all the curtains so it’s infamy to us never shows.

Light the fire then curl up all cozy and warm tonight,
Block out as much as possible the noise and the sight
Of that wicked north wind as it comes to just to destroy,
Stay safe and the true comforts of home now enjoy.
