More poems about Birds

        PLENTY OF VISITORS
You should see the bird feeders at the front and back,
A variety of all sparrows we will never ever lack,
The old bird book had become quite tattered and torn
As we see the many sparrows on our small front lawn.

At the back there are juncos, cardinals and blue jays,
And many a squirrel trying in funny acrobatic ways
To reach the feeder on the line, a great delight to see,
Also a few turtle doves, bobbing about so prettily.

Here come the crackles and the starlings not gone away,
Their iridescence glowing in the sun at the end of the day.
No, we are not short of visitors at any time of the year,
But in the dark and drear winter they surly bring good cheer.
