More poems about Service

KINDLY DEED
When you do a kindly deed, or speak a gentle word,
And in some small way your fellow-men willingly serve,
That’s when your heart swells with feelings from above
And your whole being seems to be consumed with His love.

It works better if unnoticed, though this always cannot be,
The joy is greater if some service is done quite surreptitiously,
If we listen to the prompting’s, He will show us the right way
To serve those around us, be an answer to a prayer that day.

Then how our human hearts will feel of God’s abounding grace,
Feel His love cover us as we serve, know of the smile on His face,
Trying to serve with all our being , to show we love the Master so,
Service given freely will help us God’s deep love forever show.
