        NICE AT CHRISTMAS
Most people are nice at Christmas, show extra care,
Think of others, buy gifts, sing the carols with flair,
Maybe give a little to the needy, even go to church,
Then after it is over, leave those feelings in the lurch.

The babe born in Bethlehem, they remember for awhile,
They remember the good feelings with a happy smile,
Then the world takes over and Jesus is left behind,
The Master, our King they can never seem to find.

I wonder if they had heard the angels sing that night,
Saw that great star shine with pure glorious light,
After the visit to the stable and damp, dark and cold,
Would they always remember the story the angles told?

One day His great kingdom will come and He will reign
And the beauty of this earth will be free from evil and pain,
Let us keep the spirit of Christmas alive until He comes again,
Be ready for His coming them His great glory forever obtain.
