NATURE AND GOD’S ARTWORK
Hand in hand God and nature
work side by side,
Their great and many talents
they cannot hide,
Rugged rock, worn and shaped
by wind and rain,
So carves a sleeping cat resting
over her domain.
Ears alert even in sleep to quickly
awake and arise,
Muscles not quite relaxed, she’d get
her waiting prize,
You can almost hear her purring
in the soft breeze,
Maybe her mate is also watching,
hiding in the trees.
‘Hear kitty’ you want to call to
see if she’ll come
I wonder does she stalk and hunt
when day is done,
This masterpiece of carving done by
God’s powerful hand,
A thing of great beauty watching over
this glorious land.
