        GREMLINS IN THE KITCHEN
I don’t know if your home is at all like mine,
With gremlins running about causing crime,
They booby-trap the pots and pans with glee,
And toss things out of the top freezer at me.

The spice cupboard always seems a mess,
Often used herbs are well hidden I confess
I put them where they can be easily found,
But they go and vanish without a sound.

My cleaning things are never where I leave it,
They too move about to given me many a fit,
The gremlins have so much fun every day
But I wish for a day or two they’d go away.

I’m going to clean out all the cupboards again,
Wash down the shelves, which is always a pain,
Cast a spell on the gremlins so they will not return
For a neat and tidy kitchen I constantly yearn.
