FEED THEM NOW
Winter will soon be upon us with its cold snow and ice,
Making pictures of pristine beauty but at such a high price,
Minus degrees makes things sparkle in the weakened rays of sun
But children wrapped up warm play and have lots of fun.
But in winter nature is cruel with its white icy clutching hand,
Bringing hunger cold and death in this majestic tough northern land,
Some pull through and mange to struggle to just about survive,
And we as humans can help in a small way to keep them alive.
Feed the birds and small creatures that near your garden dwell,
See them come and feed, your help is needed youll soon be able to tell.
Food scraps vanish like magic and the birds and animals seem tame,
And a bond grows between you and things are never the same.
For we become a true part of nature in a rather special way,
Helping how we best we can poor creatures on a cold day,
The birds in the garden when it is white with driven snow,
Is a great blessing and will make any heart with love glow.
