AM I TRULY OBEDIENT?
Am I truly obedient? Do I love God and my fellow men,
Would I be true to the faith like Daniel in the lions den?
Could I follow the Masters footsteps my life through,
Keep the covenants I have made, be good in all I do?
If I conquer self mastery, so let God mould my life,
Be obedient however hard the way or fierce the strife,
Listen to the still small voice, obey that gentle call,
Do this my whole life through, try and overcome all.
Be obedient because of love of God and sweet gratitude,
Not because of duty or fear, but great energy renewed
The determination to every serve Him well to the end,
And if we repent many rich blessing He will always send.
Obedience is a way of life, we should tread each day,
Love God and each other truly along life’s hectic way,
Then we will be enlightened with His power from above,
Then He will enfold us in His arms with everlasting love.
