THE EMPTY SHALL BE FILLED
Sometimes you come to the temple quite empty inside,
Your need for spirituality you find hard to try and hide,
Weary and worn of earthly woes, in need of feeding,
A hunger that is met in full while the temple attending.
Empty of holy things in a world full of hurt and care,
Empty for the great love that is found in the temple there,
Needing the protection that the temple brings your way,
And to all the spiritually hungry that come awhile to stay.
Come hungry for knowledge and then be truly well fed,
Work for those long departed that we here call our dead,
For service fills emptiness and we ourselves are filled
With a spiritual feast serving others as God has willed.
Whether we come empty or filled with gentle peace,
Our love for the Master and others will surely increase,
Cast off at the temple doors the worries of a trying day,
And a fullness of joy will come to you in a special way.
Cares will depart and your beating heart will rejoice,
As you feel the closeness of deity, maybe hear that voice
Saying Well done thou faithful servant, you did it unto me,
Then all emptiness and hunger will forever from you flee.
