OUR NEIGHBOURS GARDEN
Our neighbours garden is always a real treat,
The prettiest place in the whole street,
Often tended and weeded with loving care,
Everyone notices as they go past there.
In spring the daffodils, tulips, crocus, iris too
Bring joy after winters cold reign is through,
And hyacinths fragrance mingles with new grass,
Every car seems to slow down as they pass.
In summer, a blaze of colour to delight the eye,
Many different flowers to feed bee and butterfly,
Even on a dull summer day the sun seems to shine
In the garden of that thoughtful neighbour of mine.
Now that fall is here it seems more lovely still,
As through morning mist of this beauty I take my fill
Of golds, reds, whites and yellow blended with care,
I am glad I see from my window that garden over there.
Thank you garden lover with an eye for grace and beauty,
For through all the growing seasons sweet flowers I see,
Thanks for the hard work it takes to make such a show,
May you be blest with joy where ever you may go.
