LITTLE THINGS
It will not be the big things that keep
us away from God,
As along our allotted path we strive
to worthily plod,
We will not rob a bank or commit crimes
like adultery,
We will not murder anyone or go and
seek pornography.
It will be the little things that bar
our pathway,
Like not watching carefully all the things
we do and say,
By not bothering with our fellow travellers
along the road,
Not seeing the needs of others being cocooned
in your own abode,
No lending hand outstretched, and no
gratitude given,
These are the things that will keep us
out of heaven.
Sit up, take notice, that is it, all the deeds that
will get us there,
Just follow the Master’s example and
His goodness share.
Be kind and loving, unselfish, always follow
truth and light,
And the little deeds of good you do will bring
you to His sight.
